Ask the students the following questions and have them write or draw their response on their paper:

Start by talking about visiting grandima. You might even tell the story of little red riding hood. Then you play the game " I'm going to grandria's house" line the students up the teacher says " I'm going to grandma's house and in going to bring (something beginning with the letter A) repeat for the next student. They must remember the 1st one + add something of their own (beginning with B) continue through the alphabet it a student can't remember an item they are out!
1. Fold the paper towel in half vertically and then horizontally. Reopen it and cut along the lines of each quarter. Set aside three pieces.

2. Fold the remaining piece as you did in step 1. Press firmly on the folds so that the four-layer rectangle will lie flat.

3. Review these procedures for using watercolors and paint a simple design on the folded paper towel. Try to use enough paint to soak through all four layers.

a) Plan your work so that you can begin painting with the lighter colors first and proceed to darker colors.
