The Fourth of July

Posted by admin

- Begin the class by talking about the 4th of July. Show the students when that is on a calendar.
\
-Next, have the students draw a firecracker on their paper. For the sparks, have them glue a dab of glitter at the end of the fuse.
\
-Have them act out a firecracker by starting out low to the ground and making a "shhhh" sound. They slowly stand up and once they reach full height, have them yell "BOOM!"
\
-Lastly, play a version of hot potato using a balloon. One is needed for the students to pass around, and another to pop which signals them to stop.
