What's that Sound

Posted by admin

Before class, collect items that make noise (comb, stapler, closing a book, bowl and spoon scraping against each other, putting the cap of a pen on and off, etc.) Build a structure using the sheet so you are able to make sounds with the objects. Make sure that the students cannot see the object.
\
1. Divide the class into teams and have each team pick a person to draw (give that person a piece of paper and pencil).
\
2. Make a sound with an object behind the sheet.
\
3. Have the team discuss what they think the sound is and draw their answer on their paper.
\
4. Show the class what each team thought the sound was.
\
5. Bring the object out and tell what was making the noise.
\
6. Give points to the teams with correct answers.
\
7. Hand the papers back to the students and continue to play.
